Deccani sheep are selected based on body weight at weaning and six months. Designated matings are carried out by using superior rams. The lambs born are monitored for their growth at periodical intervals top 10% ram lambs and 30% ewe lambs will be selected and used as replacement stock and for improving the performance of the flock.
