Fodder Unit

- The farm has a total cultivable land of 58 acres of which 40 acres has irrigation facility and 18 acres is rainfed. In addition, 5 acres of Hortipasture, 50 acres of Heteropogan grass and grazing land of 250 acres is available. Perennial varieties of APBN-1, Co-4, Super Napier and Hedge Lucerne and annuals such as SSG, Maize, Sugar graze and cow pea are being cultivated for use of this station and for supplying to farmers as seed material. Further, to tide over lean season requirements, green fodder produced is ensiled to a tonnage of 100 MT annually, in addition to hay making.
