Veterinary Biochemistry (VBC)

Department of Biochemistry has excellent laboratory facilities. It has HPLC, Column Chromatography unit, Freeze dryer, Blood analyzer etc. Besides imparting education at UG and PG level, it also trains in laboratory diagnosis of different diseases of livestock.

Department of Veterinary biochemistry was established in the year 1992. The department has excellent laboratory facilities like semi automatic blood analyzer, spectrophotometer, column chromatography unit, freeze dryer and gel electrophoresis unit. M. V. Sc. program was started in the year 2002. Sixteen M. V. Sc students passed out till date and among them, eleven students were selected as Assistant professors. Besides extending technical support to institutes like Nehru Zoological park and other private farms it also trains in laboratory diagnosis of different diseases of livestock.
