The Department was established in the year 1946 and functioned along with Dept. of Pharmacology till 1964 and started offering M.V.Sc. from the year 1968 and Ph.D. from the year 1983. So far, about 12 M.V.Sc. and 4 Ph.D. students have rolled out.
